The Purpose of BreederIntegrity.org
BreederIntegrity.org was created as tool to help the public have a better understanding of who they are purchasing from. This site is here to use as tool in searching for your new best friend and as a place to critique your dog merchant. Many dog merchants want to not only impress upon you there support and love of their animals but that you know they are here to help when you need it. If they fall short of this please use the questions, rating system and suggestion areas provided to give constructive criticism so they have the opportunity to expand upon their customer service and quality.

Spotlight Dog was created to highlight dogs with an emphasis on dogs with special needs and allow loving dog owners to communicate with each other for support.

Community Guidelines for My Special Dog and BreederIntegrity.org
Pets are loved by all ages so we remind you that My Special Dog and it Sites are family-friendly. Any language or imagery inappropriate for children is strictly forbidden. If you are in doubt, imagine that a seven-year-old will be reading your merchant critique or spotlight dog post.

We understand that people are very passionate about their pets and their pet’s health, but that passion can not be expressed in a negative fashion by any name calling, use of foul language, personal threats or any other harsh language toward a company or individual.

  1. It is not appropriate for a member to create more than one membership account without advance permission.
  2. Dog Merchants are not allowed to post or solicite business on any My Special Dog Site. The exception is for adoption and rescue organizations whom are not classified as merchants on My Special Dog Sites.
  3. Reviewing your own business or service is not permitted.
  4. Reviewing your competitors' business or service is not permitted.
  5. Take care to never lie, exaggerate, stretch the truth or tell tall tales. Pretending that fake stories are true is never acceptable.
  6. Take care to avoid ganging up on another member or merchant.
  7. Never participate or encourage aggressive behavior that seeks to silence, humiliate or drive away another member or merchant.
  8. The breeder integrity system works both ways, if it is asked that breeders operate with integrity it is also the responsibility of the consumer to hold to the highest level of integrity as well.
  9. If there is a merchant who you don’t believe operates with integrity it is not your responsibility to attack, rant or try to hurt them in anyway. The best thing for you to do is decide to not interact with that merchant.
  10. Our public forums are very open places for sharing helpful information for others. It is never appropriate to personally attack anyone. Constructive criticism defined by Websters as: Criticism or advice that is useful and intended to help or improve something, often with an offer of possible solutions" and specific information should always be used to in order to allow the merchant the opportunity to improve their services.
  11.  It is not okay to post on behalf of someone else. Posting must be done by the individual who was the direct consumer or merchant.
  12. My Special Dog forbids postings pertaining to the sale of dogs or cats and/or any breeding services.
  13. My Special Dog also absolutely forbids any content that is hateful, threatening, violent, sexually explicit, regarding guns or firearms, tobacco or alcohol. We reserve the right to determine what is acceptable and remove any content that we feel is inappropriate.

 

Appropriate use of public communities and the resolution of issues

We work hard on keeping our community a safe place but this is the internet so please do not encourage others to post personal information publicly on My Special Dog. This includes e-mail addresses, addresses, phone numbers or bank account information. We realize that all adoption and rescue groups need donations to help them serve their communities but for safety reasons we can not allow the public solicitation of charity or donations unless previously approved by My Special Dog.

Please act maturely and kindly. If you have an issue that you cannot resolve, please bring it to the attention of My Special Dog staff. If you have any concerns or problems with any other users, the proper action is to contact My Special Dog. Two wrongs still don't make a right thus it's never acceptable to break or abuse any of the community terms no matter what happened. My Special Dog will resolve any and all community abuses and intervene and take action as appropriate, so remember to contact us directly about any and all issues and refrain from retaliation or aggressive responses at all times.

If you feel that there are members abusing a policy, please notify My Special Dog and we will review the post as fast as we can. Never forget two wrongs never make a right. If someone behaves badly, no one else is ever justified in breaking any of our terms in response.

Please do not get into a public fight! Assume good will and allow that the poster may not have intended for the message to be interpreted the way it came across to you. Before responding, remember that each person has their own view of a situation. You can express your view and allow the other person to express theirs. If an issue needs to be worked out beyond the initial postings on the Site, it should be done outside of our Sites.

Grievances should be brought to the attention of My Special Dog..

We reserve the right to remove or modify any posting  that includes contact information in the details, solicits donations,  financial assistance or is directly attacking another person or company.

Responses to Violations

My Special Dog has the right to take action if you disregard the community guidelines. Actions we will take can include editing inappropriate language, denying temporarily access to certain features, denying temporary access to all features or denying permanent rights of membership to participate in any area of the website.
 
At times, My Special Dog might place an account under temporary review. If your account is under review by My Special Dog, under no circumstances should you try and create a new account, login using another person's account or try and circumvent the review process in any way. You should respect the hard work and tried and true practices and policies of the My Special Dog staff which are made designed to error on the side of caution. Attempting to circumvent a temporary review could result in losing permanent rights of membership. A My Special Dog representative will contact you in advance to let you know your account status and they will be the one to work with to resolve the problem.
